Stansell is seeking a talented Senior Accountant in our Odessa, FL office to join our team!

We are a General Contractor specializing in commercial construction in the restaurant & retail industry across +20 states with many global brand partnerships and within a culture of Customer Focused Construction. The Project Coordinator position is a full-time position and will contribute with well-rounded construction experience to our team.

Position Summary: This position is responsible for supporting the accounting functions of the company to include financial reporting, job costing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and the ability to work closely with project managers and senior management to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

We work with highly respected national restaurant clients and professionalism and high standards for client interaction are crucial. Our culture is Customer Focused!

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • All aspects of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
  • Supervise and manage AP.
  • Analyze financial reports.
  • Maintain compliance with US GAAP.
  • Assist with documentation preparation for annual audits.
  • Bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare journal entries.
  • Monthly and quarterly general ledger reconciliations.
  • Prepare and manage billings (draws).
  • Financial analysis as requested.
  • Assist in payroll review.
  • Prepare sales tax filings.
  • Create AIA contracts using AIA subscription software.
  • Annual 1099 reporting.
  • Various miscellaneous projects as requested.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
  • Construction industry experience is a MUST.
  • Public Accounting experience with auditing is a plus.
  • CPA a plus.
  • Sage Intacct and Procore experience a plus.
  • Excellent MS Office Skills (especially Excel proficiency).
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently with minimal direction.
  • Proven attention to detail, accuracy and documentation of work.
  • Self-motivated with a preference for working in a team environment.
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively with others, internally and externally.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, work ethic, and teambuilding skills.
  • Strong computer skills and the ability to work with multiple software programs.
