The successful candidate will work with a small team responsible for system engineering in support of Evolved Strategic SATCOM (ESS) on Command and Control System - Consolidated (CCS-C) enhanced with virtualization and other various IA/Cybersecurity features.

Responsibilities:

Design network configurations, support network installation upgrades, perform network troubleshooting, monitor and improve network performance, and system documentation updates.

Support network cybersecurity implementation and improvements.

Support maintenance of network configuration in development labs

Prepare and present system network documentation, technical network issues, and reports to government and military officials.

Collaborate with system and cybersecurity engineers to support and implement cybersecurity policies and ensure security compliance objectives are met from a network perspective.

Additionally, they will support requirements analysis, system design, reliability analysis, system hardware/software integration, risk management, and system documentation generation/updates.

The candidate will work closely with system developers, test, and on-site user support personnel to support system updates, and ensure project objectives are met.

Required Skills/Experience

• 5-10 years engineering experience
• Should possess a BS in SE, CS, EE, ME or other engineering equivalent.
• Technical experience with Cisco network devices, VMWare, virtual networks, network design and implementation, network troubleshooting, and cybersecurity integration.
• Candidate must be self-motivated and comfortable with supporting multiple groups of developers, engineers, and testers
• Candidate must be able to articulate technical concepts orally and in written forms both internally to the team as well as externally to the customer and users.
• Complete knowledge of Agile methodology

Desired Skills/Experience

• Experience with SCN (formally AFSCN)
• Security+ CE certification and the ability to maintain IS professional certifications is highly desired
• Applicable Cisco certifications are a plus
• Experience with satellite or ground systems, especially CCS-C and associated satellite programs
• Experience in security architecture design and administration of security devices such as firewalls and intrusion detection systems
• Familiarity with modern IT infrastructure capabilities to include virtualization, cloud deployment and containerization (CNFs)
• Candidate must be able to articulate technical concepts orally and in written forms both internally to the team as well as externally to the customer and users
• Attend and support highly technical engineering team meetings
