Job Description
Looking for a reliable Construction Laborer to assist with various tasks on-site, including material handling, site preparation, and supporting skilled trades including (carpentry, plumbing, electrical, paint/drywall ect.). Responsibilities include use of various tools, maintaining a clean work area, and ensuring safety at all times.
Material handling
Loading, unloading, and transporting materials and tools
Mixing and pouring concrete or other building materials
Tool and equipment usage
Operating hand and power tools (e.g., drills, saws, jackhammers)
Operating basic construction machinery (e.g., compactors, forklifts – if certified)
Assisting skilled tradespeople
Supporting carpenters, masons, electricians, plumbers, and other trades
Measuring, cutting, and assembling materials as directed
Demolition work
Tearing down structures safely using proper tools and techniques
Removing and disposing of waste materials
Reading and interpreting plans
Understanding basic blueprints, site plans, or work orders
Safety awareness
Following OSHA guidelines and site-specific safety procedures
Wearing proper PPE (hard hats, gloves, boots, etc.)
Physical stamina and strength
Lifting heavy materials and standing for long periods
Working in various weather conditions
Teamwork and communication
Working under supervision and coordinating with crew members
Communicating clearly about tasks and hazards
Basic maintenance
Performing minor repairs on tools and equipment
Keeping tools clean and in good working condition
