Job Description

Our Mission Foods facility in Hayward, CA is looking for an experienced QA Manager to work at this facility. The Total Quality Manager is responsible for partnering with the organization to develop, produce, and supply products that exceed customer and consumer expectations. Protect the brand(s) by ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Engage everyone in the organization to strive for the highest standards of quality daily. Monitor and ensure continuous improvement in product quality and quality systems. Oversee and improve the Food Safety Program. Mentor and develop the Total Quality team. Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science/Technology or related field required. At least 5 years of Quality Assurance experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in bakery or food/beverage manufacturing. A minimum of 3 years in a managerial capacity in a manufacturing/quality environment. Equivalent education and experience may be considered.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

Extensive experience in Total Quality within consumer food production, with a proven leadership record. Experience working with regulatory inspectors: AIB, BRC, OSHA, Military, Health Department, EPA, City & County Inspectors. Strong team management, leadership, and development skills. Ability to build and mentor high-performance teams committed to quality and continuous improvement. Bilingual in English & Spanish is REQUIRED. Excellent communication skills, maturity, and self-confidence. Ability to operate in a diverse, multicultural, and internationally matrixed environment. Basic analytical skills. Flexible working hours including holidays and weekends. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
