Officina is an Italian‑inspired culinary collective founded by Chef Nicholas Stefanelli of Michelin‑star Masseria. It is the realization of his career‑long dream to bring the very best of Italian gastronomy together under one roof. Our flagship is a three‑story space home to an all‑day café, a highly‑curated marketplace featuring sought‑after ingredients and prepared specialty items, a casual trattoria rooted in classic Italian cuisine, a rare Amaro library, versatile private event spaces, and a year‑round rooftop. We seek a knowledgeable and passionate Sommelier to manage our wine program, deliver exceptional wine service, and enhance our guests’ dining experience. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Italian wine, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service. Preferred Qualifications Minimum 3 years of experience in hospitality service Court of Master Sommeliers’ Certification or higher preferred Advanced knowledge of Italian wines and regions Proficiency in using Microsoft Office, accounting software, and POS system(s) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organizational and inventory management abilities WSET or CMS Certifications required Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment Passion for wine and dedication to providing exceptional service What we expect from you Act with integrity, honesty, and professionalism that promote Officina’s culture, values, and mission Willingness to work and learn in a team environment Passion for food services Adaptability and quick decision‑making in a fast‑paced environment Maintain a positive and professional attitude with the team(s) Strive to present the best products Contribute to weekly staff education meetings Responsibilities Manage and curate the wine book, ensuring a diverse and appealing selection for our guests Oversee wine inventory, including proper storage and organization Receive and inspect wine deliveries, verifying accuracy and quality Handle wine ordering, maintain appropriate stock levels, and source new wines Train staff on wine knowledge, service standards, and pairing suggestions Conduct regular wine tastings for staff, providing education and pairing recommendations Develop and update wine lists, ensuring accurate pricing and descriptions Assist guests with wine selection, offering personalized recommendations based on their preferences and menu choices Maintain relationships with wine suppliers Monitor wine sales and adjust selections based on customer demand and trends Ensure compliance with all alcohol beverage control regulations Manage wine storage conditions to preserve quality Provide exceptional customer service, enhancing the overall dining experience Physical Requirements Ability to stand/walk for extended periods Ability to lift over 50 lbs occasionally All employees are to maintain a neat and well‑groomed appearance (specifics will be provided) Creative Food Group strives to cultivate an inclusive work environment and is proud to celebrate diversity within our ranks.
