Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Director of Project Management to lead the successful execution of large-scale renewable energy projects across the U.S. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Utility-Scale Solar and proven experience working for an Independent Power Producer (IPP) . This individual will oversee a team of Project Managers, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget while maintaining the highest quality and performance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, mentor, and develop the Project Management team overseeing multiple utility-scale solar projects across various regions.
Provide strategic oversight from pre-construction through commissioning, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and project financial goals.
Manage project budgets, schedules, and risk assessments, proactively resolving issues that impact cost, scope, or timeline.
Collaborate cross-functionally with development, engineering, procurement, construction (EPC), and operations teams to ensure seamless project execution.
Oversee vendor and contractor relationships, negotiating contracts and monitoring performance to ensure compliance with company standards.
Develop and implement project management processes, best practices, and reporting tools to drive efficiency and consistency across projects.
Represent the company with key stakeholders including investors, utilities, and permitting authorities.
Travel to project sites as needed (approximately 20-25%) to oversee progress and maintain strong field engagement.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
Minimum 10+ years of experience in project management within the renewable energy sector, with a strong emphasis on Utility-Scale Solar .
Prior experience working for an Independent Power Producer (IPP) is required .
Proven track record of managing large, complex EPC projects exceeding 100 MW.
Strong leadership skills with experience managing and scaling project management teams.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
Ability to travel up to 25% as needed.
