OFFICE TECHNICIAN (TYPING) (PI)/ NORTHERN BUTTES DISTRICT/ ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES

The reporting location for this position is the District Office located in Oroville, CA. Under general supervision of the Administrative Officer I.

The Northern Buttes District is recruiting for an individual interested in working in an administrative position that focuses on accounting and procurement functions as well as Visitor Services for the Lake Oroville State Recreation Area.

Possession of a valid Class C driver’s license is required. You must answer the questions addressing your driver’s license on your application. Ensure you provide your driver’s license number, class, expiration date, and any endorsements and/or restrictions on your application.

Training and development assignments may be considered.

The selected candidate is required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan fingerprinting prior to appointment.

This position may work up to 1500 hours in any calendar year.

Working Conditions

Office environment. Daily and frequent use of computer and a variety of office software applications at a work station. Sit in a normal seated position for extended periods of time.

Special Requirements

  • The position(s) require(s) the ability to type at a minimum speed as designated on the Class Specifications (link available in the additional documentation section). You must obtain a valid typing certificate confirming your ability to meet the minimum typing speed, prior to being hired. Additional information regarding acceptable typing tests is available at the CalCareers.ca.gov website.
  • The position(s) require(s) a valid California Drivers License (CDL). You must answer the questions addressing your CDL on your application. Ensure you provide your CDL number, class, expiration date, and any endorsements and/or restrictions.
  • The position(s) require(s) a Background Investigation be cleared prior to being hired.

TYPING CERTIFICATE

State departments will honor typing certificates issued within the last four years, certified from a five (5) minute typing test that meets the CalHR requirements, with a minimum of 40 WPM (words per minute), and proctored either virtually or in person.
