The State Corporation Commission (SCC) seeks a Life & Health (L&H) Insurance Investigator who has a passion for public service and consumer protection. The L&H Insurance Investigator is part of the Agent Regulation Division within the Bureau of Insurance, which is responsible for licensing and regulating insurance agents and agencies. The Agent Regulation Division ensures that insurance professionals selling company policies are properly qualified and comply with all statutory and regulatory requirements, as well as acceptable standards of conduct. Through specialized investigations and audits, a L&H Insurance Investigator determines the validity of consumer filed complaints against life, health, and annuity agents and agencies. This full-time hybrid position works in the downtown office on Mondays and frequently travels within the Commonwealth of Virginia and occasionally out of state to conduct investigations.
