Job Title: Instructional Designer

Location: San Antonio, TX / Tampa, FL

Contract Duration: 24 Months

Pay: 35 an hr on W2

The Instructional Designer partners with business stakeholders, Learning Performance Consultants, and Learning Development Advisors to analyze performance needs and design effective learning solutions that improve employee capability and performance. This role evaluates learning outcomes, identifies performance gaps, and develops curriculum aligned to business strategy and measurable success criteria.

The position operates with minimal supervision and applies instructional design best practices, learning analytics, and evaluation methodologies to ensure learning solutions deliver measurable results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with business leaders and learning stakeholders to gather, validate, and document learning and performance requirements, success measures, and constraints.
  • Conduct performance and learning needs analyses to identify skill gaps and recommend appropriate learning solutions.
  • Design, develop, and organize curriculum and course content aligned with business priorities and operational objectives.
  • Develop engaging digital learning solutions using Articulate Storyline 360 , Articulate Rise 360 , and Vyond .
  • Manage project timelines, milestones, and deliverables to ensure timely and high-quality execution.
  • Ensure consistency, quality, and adherence to instructional design and course content standards.
  • Apply the Kirkpatrick Evaluation Model to measure learning effectiveness, learner performance, and business impact.
  • Support the development of tools, metrics, and processes to assess curriculum effectiveness and employee skill development.
  • Analyze learning and performance data trends and provide insights to business stakeholders.
  • Resolve issues independently and escalate risks or blockers as appropriate.
  • Build and apply working knowledge of business operations, systems, and processes.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • or
  • Four (4) additional years of relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.

Experience

  • Minimum 2+ years of progressive instructional design experience , including corporate or professional training environments.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and delivering digital learning solutions.
  • Documented experience applying the Kirkpatrick Model for learning evaluation and effectiveness measurement.

Technical Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in:
  • Articulate Storyline 360
  • Articulate Rise 360
  • Vyond
  • Strong understanding of instructional design methodologies, adult learning theory, and performance-based learning principles.
