Location: Overland Park, KS

Company: DataMap

Client Work:

Why Join DataMap?

At DataMap, we don’t just fill positions—we build careers. We implement cutting-edge enterprise technology solutions and develop award-winning products for some of the world’s largest companies (e.g., Google). As a high-growth, innovation-driven organization, we provide an environment where motivated professionals can advance quickly, contribute strategically, and shape the future of HR operations.

We’re looking for a Type A, get-it-done Human Resources Manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is comfortable wearing multiple hats, and can hit the ground running. This is not an entry-level role—we need someone seasoned and decisive who is eager to drive both internal HR excellence and external client-facing initiatives.

Role Overview

As our Human Resources Manager (HRBP Focus) , you will be responsible for building and leading HR operations while also partnering with clients on organizational change management. This dual-facing role requires both hands-on HR expertise and the strategic mindset of an HR Business Partner.

You will balance compliance and operations with talent acquisition, while also shaping how clients adopt and adapt to new systems through effective communication and people strategies.

Key Responsibilities

HR Compliance & Administration (25%)

  • Manage payroll, benefits administration, and HRIS systems.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws (FMLA, ADA, FLSA, EEO).
  • Draft, update, and enforce Company Policies and SOC2 requirements

Talent Acquisition & Workforce Growth (25%)

  • Own the end-to-end recruiting lifecycle: sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
  • Develop recruitment strategies that attract seasoned yet cost-conscious talent.
  • Oversee contractor and vendor workforce relationships.

Client-Facing HR Business Partner Work (50%)

  • Partner with clients on change management strategies during system implementations.
  • Map stakeholders and craft communication strategies to ensure adoption and readiness.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor, providing HR-driven insights to support customer projects.
  • Lead customer-facing HR communications, training, and workforce alignment.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience (HR Manager, HRBP, or People Ops roles).
  • Track record of delivering in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
  • Type A personality — organized, decisive, and thrives on accountability.
  • Experience balancing internal HR compliance with external customer communications.
  • Strong communication skills — able to influence leadership, coach employees and guide customers.
  • Hands-on with HR technologies (ATS, HRIS, payroll systems).
  • Analytical thinker who uses HR data/metrics to drive talent decisions.

Benefits & Perks

  • Competitive salary with performance-based bonus.
  • Unlimited vacation & flexible work environment.
  • Free catered lunch.
  • 401(k) with employer match.
  • Health insurance with generous employer contribution.
  • Direct access to executive leadership, with rapid career advancement potential.

Why Apply?

Join a high-growth company where HR is both internal and client-facing.

Be empowered to build and lead HR operations from the ground up.

Shape customer transformation projects with a people-first strategy.

Work alongside a leadership team that values innovation, accountability, and results.

Apply today and be the HR leader who helps build the future of DataMap.
