Client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced HR Coordinator to support our Human Resources team. This role will be responsible for handling day-to-day HR operations and providing administrative support across various functions, including benefits, employee relations, and compliance. While primarily remote, the HR Coordinator will be required to work onsite approximately once per week (or every other week) to assist with mail, EDD claims, and other in-person tasks.

This position is primarily remote, with the expectation to work onsite one day per week (or every other week) in Whittier, CA.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary point of contact for HR-related inquiries from employees and managers.
• Process and manage employee data within HRIS (TriNet).
• Support recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding activities.
• Assist with benefits administration and employee leave management.
• Prepare and maintain personnel files and confidential HR documentation.
• Coordinate responses for EDD and other employment-related claims.
• Ensure compliance with university policies, labor laws, and best HR practices.
• Assist with HR projects, audits, and reporting as needed.

• 2+ years of HR Coordinator or similar HR experience (not entry-level).
• Experience working with TriNet HRIS is required.
• Strong understanding of HR processes, compliance, and employee support.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
