Community-Centric Approach in Lubbock

Team Collaboration:

  • Join our established group consisting of 2 MDs and 2 night APPs at the local medical center.
  • Collaborate with dedicated healthcare providers focused on delivering patient-centered care while engaging positively with all stakeholders.
  • We foster a supportive atmosphere, prioritize each other's well-being, and work together across departments to achieve common goals.

Qualifications:

  • Applicants must be board-certified or eligible in internal medicine.
  • We welcome internal medicine-trained physicians; while hospitalist experience is advantageous, new graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • ACLS certification is required.
  • Candidates must have authorization to work in the United States.
Practice at the Heart of the Community

Work Schedule:

  • Enjoy a 7 days on, 7 days off schedule.
  • The daytime hospitalist shift runs from 7 am to 7 pm, with on-call duties during your rotation. No need to return to the hospital after your shift.
  • Nights are managed by an APP, as we oversee both the Hospitalist and Emergency Medicine departments.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, comprehensive medical and post-operative care in a 49-bed facility.
  • Utilize EPIC EMR systems along with our internal informatics platform.
  • Experience with central lines and intubations is preferred.

Community-Focused Care:

  • Many team members participate in various committees, including medical executive, utilization management, quality review, sepsis, and stroke.
  • Some providers serve as preceptors for internal medicine residents from a local university.
  • We actively collect monetary donations to support a nearby children’s home.
  • We manage a significant number of patients from Eastern New Mexico and rural Texas, working closely with case management to address unique socioeconomic challenges and ensure comprehensive care beyond acute settings.
  • Our team operates efficiently with updated systems, teaching resources, and educational programs, all while prioritizing patient welfare and supporting career growth within the medical group.
Compensation and Benefits:
  • Salary: The hourly rate for the day shift is $2000, with a base salary of $365,000 for daytime rounding.
