Fresh Buyer Merchandiser Location North Hatfield, MA : Position Overview Keep our communities fed. As a Buyer Merchandiser you will be responsible for turn buying, pricing, code dating, item and vendor maintenance, warehouse communication, maintaining service levels that meet the agreed upon contractual standards. Full Time, Hybrid Role - post training Location: North Hatfield, MA You will contribute by: Contribute to gross profit by maintaining proper inventory levels, recovering loss margins and monitoring price changes on a daily basis. Maintain commodity pricing to positively impact gross profit. Responsible for updating all price fields where applicable, making sure all appropriate people are aware of price changes. Responsible for communicating and building a strong relationship with the customer in order to provide clear understanding of product availability, bookings, inventory levels, dead and excess and to plan a course of action if needed. Daily service levels must be prepared, reviewed and sent to the appropriate contacts daily. Any potential service levels issue must be communicated with the customer in advance to resolve. Meet or exceed contractually obligated service levels to the customer. Meet or exceed budgeted inventory levels to ensure proper warehouse operations, maintaining contracted service level for the customer, moving product to other warehouses, maximize sales for C&S and help the customer deplete the excess inventory. Work with the vendor community to build partnerships and maximize profitability for both vendors and C&S. We will also help resolve any discrepancies in pricing and item set-up to ensure that the customers are satisfied. Help manage the pricing, code maintenance and slotting daily. Working with the vendors to submit codes accurately and in a timely manner to ensure maximum sales for the customers. Communicate to the warehouse ensuring priority trucks are received for billings, late trucks are expedited in a timely manner, all refusals/rejections are properly communicated to vendors and customers, and code dating opportunities/ miss-rotations are reviewed on a daily basis. Professional verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize.
