Job Description

Are you a highly organized, detail-oriented professional with a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business? Do you have an interest in financial services or investment banking? We are seeking a dedicated individual to join a Shared Services and Bank Operations organization in Baltimore to support their Security Settlements department. What You'll Do:

  • Ensure the accurate and timely settlement of Fixed Income and Equity Securities
  • Resolve settlement breaks and failures
  • Communicate with various stakeholders
  • Contribute to ongoing operational improvement projects (LEAN, AGILE)
What You'll Need:
  • Bachelor's Degree (required)
  • Exceptional attention to detail and keen risk awareness
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Basic accounting skills

Responsibilities

Support Securities Settlements department through various administrative functions, including:

  • Handling the paperwork: Making sure the day-to-day transactions are processed smoothly
  • Fixing problems: Resolving any mistakes or issues that come up when transactions don't settle properly
  • Communicating: Keeping in touch with other departments to make sure everyone is on the same page
  • Helping with improvements: Assisting with ongoing projects to make the department's processes more efficient and less risky
