Position: Director/Project Manager
Location: Voorhees, NJ

Position Summary
As the Director / Project Manager, you will lead the mechanical design and execution of power generation projects up to 200MW. Serving as the technical authority, you will be responsible for the design integrity, quality, and successful delivery of all mechanical project scopes. This role requires hands-on project management, team leadership, and close coordination with clients, internal teams, and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the mechanical subject matter expert for power generation projects ranging from 25MW to 200MW, including simple and combined cycle combustion turbine plants.
• Lead, supervise, and mentor a team of mechanical engineers, providing guidance, technical training, and performance oversight.
• Conduct engineering tasks such as system modeling, calculations, and code compliance research.
• Perform peer reviews and quality control checks to ensure accuracy and consistency in deliverables.
• Oversee project schedules and budgets, adjusting resources and staffing as needed to meet timelines and financial targets.
• Coordinate and lead project meetings with clients and internal teams, documenting and tracking action items to completion.
• Manage project interfaces with all stakeholders, including internal departments, external partners, and subcontractors.
• Collaborate with the VP of the Power Group to respond to client RFPs, developing detailed technical proposals, budgets, and schedules using Concord standards.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, supporting client retention and new business development through exceptional service and delivery.
• Oversee all aspects of project accounting including setup, invoicing, and receivables in alignment with internal financial protocols.
• Represent the firm at industry conferences and support marketing and business development efforts for the Power and Infrastructure Group.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Minimum 15 years of relevant experience, with a strong background in engineering design and project execution for IPP and utility-scale combustion turbine plants.
• Experience delivering multi-disciplinary projects using BIM software or equivalent platforms.
• Technical expertise with major turbine OEMs (GE, Siemens, Solar) and integration of combustion turbines, heat recovery systems, IC engines, boilers, and BOP mechanical equipment.
• Strong knowledge of applicable local, state, and national codes and standards.
• Experience coordinating across engineering disciplines including electrical, structural, civil, controls, and environmental permitting.
• Field experience during construction phases: site visits, vendor coordination, factory testing, shop drawings, and piping design.
• Experience with pipe stress analysis is a plus.
• Proficient in AutoCAD; experience with Revit is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written).

Location
This position is based out of our Voorhees, NJ headquarters, with flexibility to work from other offices in Philadelphia, New York, or Princeton. A hybrid work schedule is available.
