About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Administrative Officer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and managing the administrative structure and capacity within the organization. This includes overseeing functions such as space planning and utilization, policy and procedure development and implementation, internal controls and risk management, fleet management, and overall administrative protocols. The role also involves managing human resources, financial administration, and computer services, and serving as the overall manager of these teams. The Chief Administrative Officer will work closely with the Chief of Staff and other key stakeholders to ensure a cohesive and collaborative approach to staff onboarding, offboarding, and operational issues. Applicants for the Chief Administrative Officer position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree and at least 10 years' relevant work experience, with a focus on public administration, public policy, law and policy, or related fields. Experience in leading a large administrative function in a government entity is preferred. The role requires the ability to work with various teams to develop and implement organizational policies, respond to audits, and partner on lease issues and space allocations. The Chief Administrative Officer will also be involved in budgetary and fiscal policy development, and must be prepared for frequent travel between New York City and Albany. The position demands a high level of commitment, including evening and weekend work, and the ability to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
