Position Summary

The Ceramics Specialist will work in our Watkins, Colorado ceramic studio part-time with an opportunity to move into a full-time position. This position involves helping to produce a product line that requires slip casting, sponging, and finishing.

Responsibilities

• Maintain strong attention to detail while working at a rapid production pace
• Perform fine finishing and assembly with skilled hand techniques
• Accurately follow instructions for assembly, quality control (QC), and procedures
• Collaborate effectively with team members
• Assist in slip casting

Qualifications and Experience

• Prefer at least one year experience with ceramics
• Desire to work in a plant environment and to be “hands on”
• Excellent people skills: must be patient, flexible, and calm
• Demonstrates ability to be reliable and to follow verbal and written instructions
• Willingness to be flexible and accept instruction from team members

Physical Requirements

• The ability to transport clay, molds, finished goods, and other production materials (up to 35 lbs. at a time).

Compensation / Hours

Compensation of $20-$23 per hour, depending on experience. Flexible hours between 9am and 5pm M-F
