Overview

Ideal Talent Marketplace is looking for enthusiastic team members who work comfortably in fast-paced environments and are dedicated to excellent customer service.

Baristas prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages. Successful Talent know basic coffee recipes, have experience with commercial coffee machines, and provide high-volume customer service.

Prepares and serves a variety of coffee and espresso-based drinks in a fast-paced environment. Capable of using standard coffee equipment and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction through quality beverages and excellent service. Works well under pressure while maintaining cleanliness and organization.

Responsibilities
  • Beverage Preparation: Prepare and serve coffee drinks such as espresso, cappuccinos, lattes, and macchiatos following standard recipes.
  • Customer Service: Greet customers warmly, take orders, and offer suggestions based on preferences (flavor, strength, milk alternatives).
  • Menu Knowledge: Be familiar with menu items (coffee, tea, food) to assist customers and manage special requests.
  • Coffee Equipment Operation: Operate espresso machines, grinders, and other equipment efficiently and accurately.
  • Food Service: Prepare basic food items (pastries, snacks) and serve them promptly.
  • Cleanliness & Organization: Keep the coffee station, work area, and seating areas clean; regularly clean equipment and surfaces per sanitation guidelines.
  • POS System: Accurately input orders, process payments, and handle cash or card transactions.
  • Speed & Efficiency: Work quickly during busy times, ensuring orders are completed timely without compromising quality.
  • Inventory & Stocking: Assist with restocking coffee beans, milk, syrups, and snacks to keep everything ready for service.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Follow all food safety and sanitation regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Team Collaboration: Work as part of a team, assist coworkers, and maintain a positive attitude during busy periods.
Requirements
  • Previous work experience as a Barista.
  • Comfortable working independently in this role.
  • Hands-on experience with coffee machines and brewing equipment.
  • Experience with basic food preparation (e.g., pastries) and coffee drinks.
  • Knowledge of health and sanitation regulations.
  • Basic math and computer skills; previous POS experience preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills; able to handle tense situations calmly and rationally.
  • Ability to meet physical demands including walking, standing, or lifting for extended periods.
