ATSU - Web Developer (remote) Description A.T. Still University (ATSU) is seeking a full-time, exempt Web Developer. This position reports to the Assistant Chief Information Technology Services. This position is remote with the potential to be based in Mesa, AZ or Kirksville, MO.
Duties & Responsibilities: - Support faculty, staff and students in the use of distance and web-based education tools.
- Design, build and maintain websites using Wordpress and the Google suite.
- Identify, document, analyze, develop, and maintain web-based applications.
- Create/edit HTML content.
- Determine and recommend optimal development of software tools and plugins.
- Liaison with vendors to install and troubleshoot third-party software.
- Ensure the safety of Student and Employee information and data in accordance with local, state and federal laws and guidelines.
- Design and implement training materials for online education tools.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Provide technical and design services, and maintenance relating to educational applications.
- Web site development using tools including Dreamweaver, Expression Engine, WordPress (or equivalent tools) and the Google suite.
- Strong understanding of writing and editing HTML, CSS, and responsive web design.
- Analyze, document, program, test, and maintain web-based content.
- Support and maintain database services associated with custom web applications.
- Working knowledge of Javascript, Databases, and Web Servers.
- Provide Tier II support for web-delivered content customers (both Wordpress and Google suite).
- Scheduled on-call duty evenings and weekends for LMS user support.
Requirements Education & Experience
- College Degree or Technical School.
- HTML/website design.
- Wordpress.
- Java Script.
- Google tool suite.
- The ability to visualize a project, then translate it into a working application.
- Communication and problem resolution skills.
- Full project lifecycle development.
- Understanding of LMS systems and their related tools.

- Must be a team player who can focus on multiple projects and maintain a balance between them.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to deal with people both in person and at a distance through the use of telephone and/or video conferencing.

- Must have excellent interpersonal skills. Must have a positive attitude.
- This person must be creative so that he/she can take an idea from concept to reality.
